How many days can an employee be forced to work mandatory overtime in Georgia?

I have a friend who works civil service for Robins AFB in georgia… He is made to work sometimes several weeks in a row with no days off at all. IS THIS LEGAL?

Absent a contract that says differently, as long as he is getting paid, they can work him as long as they want without a day off.
